We
get asked this question by our visitors all the time and the simple
answer is yes unless of course you are a computer expert and like
looking after your registry file yourself. The truth is most people
use computers to surf the internet and with that comes added danger of
spyware, adware and other rogue programs being installed
on your computer without your consent. Some of these are harmless
but others may do things to your registry and cause your pc to slow
up or worse crash completely. Regular maintenance of your computer
with a quality registry repair tool will ensure that this does not
happen to you

How often should I run my
registry repair tool ?
|
|
The
secret to a fast running computer is an efficient and clean
registry. This is best achieved by running your scan at least one a
week and remember many of the better registry repair products let
you schedule this so you just need to set it up once and forget it
as it will run
automatically after that.

What are the benefits to using

|
If
you want to avoid your computer slowing down or your pc crashing

Is running registry repair
software dangerous ?
|
|
A
valid question indeed but not something you should be concerned with
if you are using a quality registry cleaner ( see our comparison
chart for details on this ). One of the features of any quality
registry repair software is to backup the registry before running of
the scan so you can restore it at any time. In all our tests we have completed we have never had to
revert to a backup so this should not be a concern for you at all.

Can I run my registry repair
software on more than one computer ?
|
|
A
question we got from a few visitors and while not that common is
valid all the same. You will need to check with the product vendors
on this. You can either send them off a quick e-mail asking the
question or just take note of the licensing details when you go to
purchase the product. The majority of products today offer
additional licenses for a small add on fee like say $10.

- Do I require a registry cleaners for my vista operating system
?
|
|
This is a valid question but for some reason many people are of the opinion that just because vista is a new operating system they don't need a registry cleaner tool to keep it in top shape. Well we disagree - so whether you decide on the free registry cleaners out there or the paid ones you should be using a registry cleaner for regular maintenance be it on vista or not.
Contrary to what many people think the registry for vista is not a whole lot different from XP and we have even herd of cases where people are running XP registry cleaners on vista without a problem ( something we wouldn't recommend - if you want to do this you should at least back up your registry first in case there is a problem ).
So the simple answer is yes you still need a register cleaner to ensure your registry ( the engine of your computer ) remains lean & clean. For those of you who have already purchased registry cleaners then make sure you check that they are vista compatible as most of the better ones are. The easiest way to do this is to check on the home page of the product you have purchased as it should say it there. Can't find the products home page then just google by typing in the name and you are sure to find it. |
